Advertising Audit
Are your ad dollars actually turning into business?
Clicks, impressions, and conversions can make an advertising report look busy. But the bigger question is whether your campaigns are reaching the right people, generating meaningful opportunities, and making good use of your budget.
I’ll review your advertising strategy, campaigns, targeting, budgets, creative, landing pages, and measurement to figure out what’s working, where spend may be getting lost, and what deserves attention next.
Independent analysis. Clear priorities. No ad management pitch waiting at the end.

You’re spending money on ads. Do you know what you’re getting back?
An ad account can generate plenty of activity without generating the kind of results your business actually needs.
Maybe leads are coming in, but they’re the wrong leads. Maybe costs keep climbing. Maybe one campaign gets most of the credit while another quietly consumes budget. Or maybe the reports say advertising is performing well, but you can’t clearly connect that performance to what’s happening in the business.
Sometimes the problem is the advertising itself.
Sometimes it’s the landing page, the tracking, the offer, or what happens after the lead comes in.
The goal isn’t simply to find places to cut spend. It’s to understand where your advertising dollars are going, what they’re producing, and whether your strategy makes sense for the business.
What I Review
A conversion isn’t automatically a good result.
Advertising performance needs business context.
An ad platform can tell you how many conversions it recorded.
It can’t always tell you whether those conversions were good leads, actual customers, profitable jobs, or outcomes worth paying for.
That’s why I don’t want to evaluate your advertising based on a single metric.
A low cost per lead sounds great until most of those leads aren’t qualified.
A high click-through rate doesn’t matter much if people don’t convert.
A strong reported return means less if the underlying tracking isn’t reliable.
And increasing the budget doesn’t make sense simply because a platform recommends it.
The question isn’t whether the account can produce good-looking metrics. It’s whether your advertising is doing a useful job for the business.
When an Advertising Audit Makes Sense
You don’t need an advertising audit just because your cost per click went up.
- You’re spending consistently on advertising but aren’t confident in the return.
- Lead volume looks good, but lead quality doesn’t.
- Advertising costs keep increasing without a clear explanation.
- Your agency reports strong performance, but the business results don’t seem to match.
- You’re not sure whether conversions are being tracked correctly.
- You’re running campaigns across multiple platforms and don’t know whether your budget is allocated appropriately.
- You’ve been running the same advertising strategy for a long time and want a fresh perspective.
- You’re considering increasing your ad budget and want to know what’s working first.
- You’re considering changing agencies or advertising partners.
- You want an independent second opinion on how your campaigns are being managed.
What You’ll Walk Away With
Not a list of settings someone wants to change so they can manage your account.
You’ll receive an independent assessment of what I found, why it matters, and what I believe deserves attention first.
Where is your advertising budget actually going?
Your budget shouldn’t be on autopilot.
Advertising decisions shouldn’t stop at “Google Ads is working, so let’s keep spending there.”
I’ll look at how your budget is being allocated and whether that allocation makes sense based on your goals, performance, customer behavior, market, and available opportunities.
That can mean looking across:
- Campaigns — Are some campaigns absorbing budget without producing meaningful results?
- Services or products — Does spend reflect what the business actually wants to grow?
- Locations — Are you investing in the right markets and service areas?
- Platforms — Is the current channel mix still appropriate, or does another platform deserve consideration?
- Brand vs. non-brand demand — How much performance is coming from people already looking for you?
- New vs. returning audiences — Are you spending appropriately across different stages of the customer journey?
- Seasonality — Does the way you spend account for changes in demand throughout the year?
